Some friends are in the bay for the first weekend ever. I find it ironic that this is the same weekend we officially let go of our house in the city in favor of a small studio (cost effective!)
Must I tell you international orange is my favorite color? Must I tell you again that EVERY SINGLE DAY there is a moment of yearning to take up permanent residence under the perch of this fantastic structure? I adore you, San Francisco. The love affair began at age 9, when I first sailed from Bellingham bay all the way in to yours. Pier 39 was only the beginning. Still to this day, I wear a flower in my hair and revel in all that it is to be with your gentle people there. xx

ladies night

Bergey is finally getting married in a couple weeks. Despite a crazy Vegas trip that pretty much handled things on the bachelorette front, I felt the need to throw another one so that the WA ladies that missed out could participate. Here are some shots of the very beginning of the evening. I have to say, sometimes the best memories of the night are had in the "getting ready" stages. Although, it was GAY PRIDE weekend, so expect some of the evening's later happenings to find their way in to circulation too. In celebration of she who will be a beautiful bride!!!

WEEkend- all my aunties

We spent Sunday in my sweet hometown, Bellingham, with all of Ava's aunties. Ironically, none are pictured here- but this is how it went: There was breakfast at The Old Town Cafe with Molee and Suzanne, a very FUN trip to the new art museum and F.I.G. Gallery where we also saw an amazing NW women artist's exhibition with Tara, (p.s. one stunning pair of Nico earrings bought at the museum store that will be perfect for Sarah's wedding!) and finally ...dinner with Halee, Lara and their girls out in beautiful Sudden Valley. We polished the joy off with lollypops at Bryant park and a play date with cousin Pana and his momma Jaesa Monday. Sheesh.. that's a lotta auntie love in one weekend. We are better for it- the wee girl is tired from so much play and mom's heart feels good from a fair amount of wine and talk time with dear friends. A good one!
